The Managing Diverse Teams apprenticeship builds the practical leadership and communication skills needed to lead with confidence in today’s diverse workplaces.

Mapped to the Level 3 Team Leader apprenticeship standard, this 13-month programme equips first-time and aspiring managers to lead inclusively, motivate effectively, and create high-performing teams where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

Through eight interactive workshops, monthly coaching, and workplace improvement projects, learners gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to balance people, pace, and performance, turning theory into everyday impact.

Programme Structure

Programme Duration: 13 months + End-Point Assessment

Delivery: Eight half-day online workshops + monthly 1:1 coaching

Outcome: Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship Qualification

Each module follows the Seed Skills learning cycle:

  • Pre-Work: Short readings, videos, and reflection tasks.
  • Masterclass: Interactive workshop with live discussions and real-world scenarios.
  • Post-Work: Applied tasks contributing to your Portfolio of Evidence and Ripple Effect project.

Learner Journey

Month 1: Onboarding – Getting to Know You

  • Welcome session and introductions

  • Skills Radar and individual learning plan

  • Meet your leadership coach and learner cohort

Months 2–12: Learning & Coaching Cycles

Every 6–8 weeks, learners complete one masterclass and a 1:1 coaching session to consolidate learning and apply it to workplace practice.

Month 13: Gateway & End-Point Assessment

Final portfolio and Ripple Effect project submission, followed by:

  • Presentation with Q&A – Showcasing an inclusive improvement initiative.

  • Professional Discussion – Exploring learning, growth, and leadership impact.
